From a One-Bedroom Apartment to a Thriving Brewery
Founded in 1998, Tindall Road Brewery started as a homebrewing project in California, driven by a love for craft beer and a lack of local options. What began in a tiny apartment soon expanded to a garage, where small-batch brewing became a family affair. Eventually, the operation moved to New Jersey, where friends and restaurants took notice—leading to the launch of Tindall Road Brewery.
Overcoming Challenges & Embracing Community
Like many New Jersey breweries, they faced strict regulations, from limits on TV sizes to restrictions on advertising and live music. Despite the hurdles, advocacy efforts have helped loosen the rules, making way for a better experience for craft beer lovers.
Beyond brewing, Tindall Road Brewery fosters community—hosting book clubs, crochet groups, and even fishing lure workshops. Driveway Drinker, inspired by socially distanced hangouts during lockdown.
Looking Ahead
The brewery is expanding its food truck program and working through licensing challenges to keep growing. While there’s still work to be done in supporting small breweries, one thing is clear—Tindall Road Brewery is here to stay!
