A New Era of Chess is Coming to Bordentown

In 2023, Sierra reignited her love for chess and launched a franchise that now brings fun, after-school chess to elementary and middle school students across Central New Jersey and Northeast Philadelphia. And now, her team is preparing for their next big move: opening the first-ever Knight School brick-and-mortar chess center in Bordentown City—a first for the national franchise!
What Makes This Chess Program Unique
Forget the stuffy chess clubs and intimidating tournaments of the past. The Knight School focuses on fun, inclusion, and accessibility. Kids learn strategy through colorful lessons, lively “hustler” puzzles, hands-on activities, Starburst rewards, and even playful traditions like shouting Kalunga! during scavenger hunts. Every class sparks excitement and confidence while building brainpower.
