Art People Party was Locally Buzzed "2025 Prom Reimagined"
By April Sette | Co-hosted by Kristin Menapace of Homestead Princeton
There’s something magical about a night where community, creativity, and a little prom-themed nostalgia collide—and the 2025 Art People Party did just that! On Friday, April 4, the Arts Council of Princeton transformed the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts into an unforgettable celebration of the arts, fashion, and the power of local connection.
I had the pleasure of co-hosting this edition of Locally Buzzed with the wonderful Kristin Menapace, co-owner of Homestead Princeton. Kristin brought her warmth and energy to every conversation, effortlessly engaging guests with thoughtful, on-the-spot interviews that made everyone feel like part of the story.
A huge thank-you to Homestead Princeton, located in the heart of town, for making this coverage possible. This story truly showcased the art of local supporting local—and we felt that community spirit from the moment we arrived.
Themed PROM, this year’s Art People Party blended retro vibes with modern art flair. Guests came dressed to impress, danced the night away to a live DJ, and watched as artists created in real-time. One of the evening’s highlights was the Tombola—an Italian-style art lottery where every participant went home with a unique piece valued at $350 or more, donated by incredibly talented regional artists.
We were honored to cover the recognition of Kristin S. Appelget, Assistant Vice President for Community and Regional Affairs at Princeton University. Her dedication to civic engagement and community development has made a lasting impact not only on the town of Princeton but throughout the region. Her story and influence were a powerful reminder of how leadership and service can shape the arts and community in lasting ways.
We also had the pleasure of meeting some of the amazing Arts Council board members and the ever-energetic Circle of Friends volunteers, including Kathy and Wheezie—who truly helped keep the evening running smoothly with joy and heart.

The Art People Party isn't just a celebration—it's a reminder of why supporting the arts matters. Proceeds from the night go directly toward the Arts Council's programs that uplift and serve at-risk youth, LGBTQ+ teens, low-income seniors, and the flourishing Artist-in-Residence Program.
Until next time—keep buzzing, keep supporting, and keep showing up for your local community. That’s the real art.
